WPAddict is Accepting Guest Posts

This is a long and overdue tidbit of news for the website. I write frequently, but maybe not as frequently as people might like. Sometimes I get my material from questions that I answered in the WordPress Support forums. Sometimes I write on a whim.

So, WPAddict is accepting guest posts. As of June 2010, WPAddict is really doing well in both traffic and rank (WPAddict.net is 264K in Alexa and a Google Page Rank 3) . The site is not even a year old yet! I really have not done a lot of promoting. Most of it has been you the reader that has given the site a chance.

Because the site focuses solely on WordPress, there are so many things to write about. Obviously, I need help. So, I am opening the site to guest writers. If you see at the top of the site in the main menu, there is Guest Write Here. That pages outlines what is acceptable material and how to sign up to be a guest writer.

Although it would be awesome to have regular writers, it is not necessary. Guest blogging is great for those who want a back link to their website.

Even if you are not much for guest writing, are here for some tips or tricks, please show your support by following WPAddict on Twitter and the Facebook fan page for WPAddict.

WordCamp Chicago: Rocking Out Your Site With WordPress

Unfortunately, during WordCamp Chicago, I was unable to access the already spotty internet available. However, that is okay. Although I am sharing it just about everywhere I know, I promised to post my Power Point presentation. In regards to it. I will be going into depth in the next few days for those who are hungry to learn more and continue to think outside the box.

Please leave me a comment if you were at WordCamp. I like to return comments or at least reply because… well, it allows me to know what other things you would like to know. I myself am eager to answer those burning questions. I really have not mentioned anything about guest posting here, but I have elsewhere, so it is about time I make a post about it here about WPAddict. WordPress is a great community and even though I could go on and on with my own posts here, I really would like to invite knowledgeable members of the community (both WordPress and bloggin) to help enhance this site. It is also a way to get some link juice back to your site.

Guest posting is not that hard. Here, if it is WordPress related, it is acceptable unless you are going to spam your affiliate links out. Trust me, I have had a few people try to be slick on my other site.

Posts only need to be at least 200 words. It can be a tutorial, a plugin review, tips, interviews with WordPress rockstars, or even some WordPress news. For me, it is important to open this blog up to the community. In the meantime, if you do have a WordPress site already, feel free to drop by, register at WPAddict.net and post about your site.

I will be putting together a guest post submission guideline in the near future, but now that the cat is out of the bag…. are you interested in posting here at WPAddict?

Yep! Another WordPress related site. I bet you are either:

1. Rolling your eyes because you think you have seen or read it all.
2. Excited to see another WordPres-related site
3. Neither here, nor there, but you are interested.

Hopefully WPAddict will answer anything you need. If you cannot find it here, perhaps try the WordPress support forums. WPAddicts will cover a little more than WordPress, but the main focus is -> WordPress.

WPAddict is open to suggests and currently open to anyone wanting to contribute. Some people in the WordPress community hoard a bit, but not WPAddict. Enjoy!
