scholarpressScholarPress ( @scholarpress on Twitter)allows users to be able to run a class management on your WordPress installation. Yes, classes, like in class schedules, biblographies, and assignments. The plugin is WordPress Mu supported ScholarPress will be presented at WordCamp New York City 2009.

ScholarPress has been in the works since 2007 and has several staff:

Jeremy Boggs
Dave Lester
Zac Gordon
John Eckman

From reading each of their bios at ScholarPress, they certainly have a passion for education!

You can find ScholarPress at their main website or SP Courseware (another name for it) in the WordPress Plugin Directory. And you can join the ScholarPress development group on Google if you would like to contribute toward this open source project or want to share any bugs you may have found with the plugin.

This is great for people who want to help others learn things like WordPress or even Web Design, or even Graphic Design. The integration with WordPress makes this plugin easy for both the instructor and the student to get their assignments. I am looking forward to here more on this project.

Sounds pretty cool?
